It's Official, It's Fall

Fall arrived yesterday at 4:02 pm. In many areas of the northern United States, Fall's leaves are at peak. Here in middle Tennessee, leaves have yet to turn, although I do see the occasional yellow leaf from trees here and there.

I captured this image a few years ago in Fall, as I was making the drive from Gatlinburg to Cade's Cove, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Meig's Falls sits back off the park road, but in full view of visitors. As usual I had my 300mm lens on my camera, so I stopped to take a few photos. The yellow leaves really frame Meig's Falls beautifully. I can't wait to share new images as I venture out this season. I hope you have fun out there photographing this beautiful season. Have a wonderful weekend. ENJOY!

Vintage Fall!

It was a beautiful Saturday last weekend and I could not resist the chance to take a drive and take in some Fall color. On my way back to the interstate from Nashville, I stopped to take a few photos of my favorite wagon sitting next to the barn at the Farm Market I pass along my usual route to Nashville, Indiana, the small arts and crafts village in central Indiana. Love this wagon. Loved the weather. Now it's turning miserably cold and raining. Someone deliver me. ENJOY!

Prelude to Autumn!

Directly south of downtown Louisville sits "Old Louisville", a Victorian neighborhood that is several blocks long and wide. Every year the famous St. James Court Art Show which is world reknowned takes place the first weekend of October. Sitting in the middle of St. James Court is this beautiful fountain. I decided one sunny Sunday afternoon to photograph the beautiful fall colors around the fountain. This is what I photographed. Hope you like it. I have a another view I used as part of a header that I'll post later in the season. In the meantime, back to our regularly scheduled . . . Summer. ENJOY!

Falls Last Color

I love the reds of Fall the most. These bushes commanded attention so I had to give them their do. This was two weeks ago in Bernheim. I like the way the sun backlit the scene. Although it made it hard to pop the red a little when I dropped it in my paint.net software. Hope you're not still eating that leftover turkey. ENJOY!
