Magnolia Bloom in Texture

Several weeks ago while playing around with this Magnolia Hybrid image, I decided to give it a little texture effect. Wow do I love how this turned out. Wouldn't it make the perfect greeting card. Texturing is not always easy. You have to choose the right image. Too much detail can spoil the texture. In the case of this bloom, it was perfect. ENJOY!

It's Friday. I took the day off after a crazy busy issue has gone to the printer. Here's a beautiful Magnolia Hybrid I chose for you on this gorgeous Friday. Hello Spring, Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest!

Welcome Spring! Come on in. Sit down around my world and stay a while. Bring your sunshine, your flowering trees, your colorful blooms, your cool breezes. I'll peek outside for your tell tale signs of bees and butterflies, bugs and birds. I'll be watching as the grass grows, the leaves sprout open, the sky passes by in azure blue. All you need do is bring me long warm days and cool nights, quiet walks on a wooded trail and long drives in the countryside. So come on in. You're welcome here. ENJOY!

Magnolia Hybrids, Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest

The beauty that is Magnolia Hybrids blooming incessantly in the arboretum at Bernheim. Come walk with me a while.

As I meandered amongst the glorious Magnolia Hybrids, I found pinks and whites and reds abound. With blossoms and buds and craggy tree branches, the Magnolias were blooming in force. And as I walked amongst the blossoms, this gorgeous Magnolia bud caught my eye. Oh, but for its beauty. Don't you agree?

Everywhere I looked the Magnolia buds were releasing their tightly held grip on their petals. With blossoms blowing freely in Spring's gentle breeze, their succulent, sweet smelling blooms teased my senses. Oh, to package that scent and carry it with me.

The beauty of these gorgeous blossoms shone bright as the sun kissed each petal bathing it with the sweetest light of the day and leaving its scent tickling my nose. It was glorious heaven. ENJOY!
