Texas Sage
This beautiful little pink flower was blooming at Bernheim this week when I stopped for a quick drive around the parameter. The sign read, Texas Sage, and under that it read, Wild Watermelon. It reminds me of Sweet Peas only in pink.
It's been rather noisy in the skies today and it wasn't due to thunder from a rainstorm. The B-52 and some sixty odd civilian and military planes are in town for the Air Show that takes place prior to Thunder Over Louisville. Their practice session must put them right over my condo here in southeast Louisville, just as they make their turn back to the waterfront. I'm listening to them as I'm writing this post. I haven't seen them, but trust me, they're here. It's been five years since I went down and saw the whole show, air and fireworks. It was amazing. Have a fantastic weekend everyone. ENJOY!

Lovely colour Carol. Hope you have a quieter weekend.
ReplyDeleteVivid! Love that color! Enjoy your weekend, Carol. My Grands are here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful carol, just looking at this reminded me of the Pineapple Sage I used to grow when I lived back east and the aroma filled my senses. Funny how some images can do things like that.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a sweet pea. I will bet Steve will show that sometime this season.
ReplyDeleteWe get the Blue Angels in the air every year in August. There is a big air show at the old Navy base in Brunswick, and I guess the are practicing down here around Portland. We have never gone to the actual air show. It is amazing how they can come screaming in, and then be gone.
