American Cardinal

Red in winter is a beautiful thing. Red outdoors in winter is an even more beautiful thing.
A red American Cardinal in winter outdoors adds so much beauty to the landscape. And this little guy was just begging to be photographed on my last trip to Mustatatuck, so I obliged. It's the only photos in the refuge I took that day as I was just making a quick trek through from my Ewing Bottoms adventure. Hope your week is off to a great start. Severe storms coming tonight. Living on the edge in this place we call the Ohio River Valley. ENJOY!

  4. These cardinals behave like true winter heroes! They endure winter's hardship like champs!
