Merry Christmas

Many years ago, on a very, very cold Winter's day, I photographed two of the waterfalls at Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio, Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls. As I perused my archives this morning, I happened across this image of Cedar Falls and wanted to share it again. To my amazement when I traveled back in time on my blog, I found I had only shared this image one time way back in 2009. The image is a low resolution scan from slide film, but I love the colors of the limestone rock behind the waterfall and the trees hanging over.

Perhaps one day I will get back to Hocking Hills and take new photographs with my digital camera. Until then, this beauty will have to suffice. Just some really cool shop windows I wanted to share from my last trip to Nashville, Indiana. Wouldn't it be great if everyone's windows had window boxes with beautiful flowers all spring, summer and fall. ENJOY!

A Sign of Fall!

I seem to be on a "Fall Quest". Hey! Can you blame me after this sweltering summer. I visited Nashville, Indiana, Sunday. I usually visit this quaint little arts and craft village several times a year, but realized I hadn't been since last summer. There were many signs of Autumn. ENJOY!

Cedar Falls, Hocking Hills, Ohio

This image which is in an older post always intrigued me. I dropped it into Lightroom 3 and was able to bring out the beautiful rock formations around the falls which is one of the things I love most about this waterfall. It's truly a wonderful walk down to the falls. A little slippery when I was there to take this image, but a beautiful place and a great waterfall that you can practically walk right up to. I must say I'm very tempted to head back to Ohio this winter to check out some of the falls. Also I wanted to note I spent nearly a month watching the Ohio weather maps so I could find just the right time to travel up there to shoot this waterfall. I hit just on the perfect couple of days.
