Buckhorn Inn Trail

During my recent outing to the Smokies, I stayed at the Buckhorn Inn which is situated just outside of Gatlinburg. The Buckhorn Inn is a beautiful place to stay and allowed me to save time and gas getting into the park much quicker. My room had a fantastic mountain view and I could open the windows and listen to the birds chirping. The inn has a nice walking trail. I managed to get in a quick walk on the first morning of my visit after breakfast. Oh, did I mention breakfast was fantastic. Back to the trail, while walking, I encountered this persistent bumble bee who was so busy pollenating this beautiful bloom, I don't think he ever looked up. This isn't the sharpest image in the world, but I loved it as you can see the flutter of his wings which isn't always evident when you're photographing bees. Hope your weekend is a great one. ENJOY!

Sounds like you had a great time! How nice that the park is close enough to visit on weekends.

Awesome job and great action shot, that isn't an easy one to get especially with still holding your composition in place! Bravo.
