Spring Along the Byway!

This week I'll be taking you to the Bluegrass Scenic Byway, about 60 miles from my home. Specifically on SR1681 between Frankfort, Midway and Lexington, Kentucky, where Spring is in full swing. While I couldn't get any really good images of the horses, I did get a few nice images of the flowers and flowering trees along the byway. It had been years since I'd visited this area during Spring. I had no idea what I'd been missing. I hope you agree. Take note that all of the leaves haven't quite opened up all the way, but they're working on it as you can see. ENJOY!

  1. That looks like purple phlox carpeting under the tree. I love the shape of the limbs, too.

  3. I like horses, but I love flowers! These are pretty. My creeping phlox is bright pin,. I wish I had this color, instead.
