Forest at Bernheim!

Driving out of the forest at Bernheim several weeks ago. I'm guessing there's a lot more greening up going on right now. It's nice and warm here today but right now we have a severe thunder storm watch and a line of red and yellow and green on the radar. That should be in and out in a few hours and hopefully the day will turn around. Hopefully. I hope your weekend involves beings outdoors and soaking up nature. Have a wonderful weekend. ENJOY!

  1. Enjoy the blue skies in the photos. Being new to visiting this site I hope you include some photos from Blackacre farm. A nature spot worth capturing in Louisville. Hiking trails with tiny waterfalls after a rain. A nice few hour getaway to nature.

  2. Your mirrored shots are so creative, Carol. I almost thought that cloud one had snow-capped peaks! Hope part of your weekend is sunny. It's very windy here and snow in the forecast.

  6. My desire was to create a new header that I could adapt with different photos as time goes by. So with Picasa, my free photo editing software, I simply make a collage of 4 images with a 90 x 30 size collage. If you have Picasa then Picnic, another photo editing software should come with it in the latest versions. Once you have your collage, open Picnic while your image is still up on the Picasa software. Go to frames in Picnic. It's very easy to learn to choose the colors, the size of the frame and the mat. Save this as a "new copy" of the image. Then back in Picasa I simply played around with about eight different versions of the header using Monika type font. I wanted the font to be larger and I decided I didn't want it to be in the middle of the image. So I played around with it at the top, at the bottom, small, medium and large. I saved about 6 different versions. Then I closed Picasa and I clicked on each one of the saved images which were on my desktop in different names. I kept clicking until I found the one that stood out best. And that was the new header. ENJOY!
