Today was overcast, however, I had taken the day off and decided to drive out to one of my favorite haunts, Bernheim Arboretum & Forest. Springtime is so beautiful this time of year at Bernheim. And I am guilty of forgetting just how beautiful. I took many many photos which I'll post over the next few days. These are a few of the picks I took while on my walk near the lake. Enjoy!
Postscript: Well Frank posted today that these beautiful flowers are Foxgloves. I am terrible at identifying flowers and not a whole lot better at most birds. Yes, I know the cardinals, blue jays, robins, sparrows, finches, etc. but that's mostly it so I guess I have some work to do learning, flowers, butterflies, more birds, etc. etc. You get the picture, but hey, I'm working on it! Thanks, Frank.

Fabulous Foxgloves. Thanks for getting out Carol.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I especially like the composition in the first shot. This is the first year that I haven't had foxgloves in my garden. I miss them already.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the rest of the photos from this shoot.
Carol, I have a stack of field guides right by my computer, and spend a great deal of time looking things up.
These foxgloves are stunning - they normally like cool weather - I can even grow them at altitude.
