As you may well know by now, I live close to a beautiful forest and arboretum called Bernheim. I spend time there as often as I can and bring back photographs of the beautiful trees, plants, flowers and, not nearly enough, wildlife. I've paid another visit this weekend to this beautiful place and discovered this gorgeous little pink flower with its woody stalks and round leaves growing in the midst of the gardens there. What made this visit more fun than the norm was the fact that all of the fledgling Barn Swallows were trying out their wings yesterday and their Moms and Dads were frantically flying around like mad people if you wandered too close. Here is my rendition of the beautiful Himalayan Indigo. Have a wonderful, if not hot, Sunday. ENJOY!
A dainty little plant!
ReplyDeleteMy friend has false indigo, but it is a huge plant with blue flowers shaped just like these.
