Brighter Days Are Ahead!

Oftentimes we take a photo and then when we have time to view it, it's not quite what we were hoping for. That's what this photo was . . . until, Barb and Sandy wrote me today to say it's dull and dreary out there in Colorado and Maine. Well I'm here to provide a little bit of color to your life. Not much, mind you, but just a bit. Even though this wasn't my favorite photo then, it's in the red now. ENJOY!

Postscript: After a severe drought in Kentucky and Southern Indiana from August through October, it has ended. It has rained here for the past week nearly every single day and is raining as I post this. But I can't complain although normally I would. However, after seeing what the drought did to the outdoors, mum is the word.

  1. Ohhhhh...just what I needed today, Carol. It has been so cold and blustery that I didn't even venture outside, which is unusual for me. I think the leaf looks like a heart. Thanks from the bottom of mine...

  2. ...now that's color...and we were definitely lacking it this autumn. The drought sucked the life out of autumn it seemed!

  3. We are having rain today, too. I wonder if it is the same storm?
Our autumn was so bright this year, I really felt bad when it ended. Hard to believe it is December already.

  4. It's nice to see that there's still some colour around! This is such a beautiful red.
