Cade's Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park

During my trip to the Smokies this summer, I photographed this image as I was driving the Cade's Cove Auto Tour. As I turned a curve there was this branch hanging down from a tree with seed pods on it. Kind of cool, I thought. So I took a quick pic of it. Then when I dropped it in Lightroom 3 the mountain behind it came through. The original photo you couldn't really see the mountain in the background. Enjoy!

  1. Great picture! I like to ride my motorcycle through Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains. It's a good place to camp, too!

  2. is beautiful, and seeing all that green when it's gray and white out now, really takes me back to the warmth of summer! I want to go to Cades Cove next year. You've had many lovely photos...

  3. I like the way this photo has different layers.
