Friendship Award Given To Me!

I have only been blogging since July of this year and yet I've already received this lovely Friendship Award from my dear friend, Crista, of Nature As Is! That means so much to me, I can't tell you how much. I posted a thank you note to Crista on her blog. When I starting blogging, my goal was to connect with other nature lovers and make friends and to learn about nature and other places in our world through blogging. And this experience has definitely helped me achieve my goal. But to have an award bestowed upon me, makes it even more rewarding. Thank You Crista.

Here are the rules for receiving the "Friendship Award". This award is bestowed upon:

Blogs that are exceedingly charming.
These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.
They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.
Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers.

Deliver this award to six bloggers who must choose six more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I'm passing this award on to these six bloggers. The first three I've followed their blogs for quite some time and have often commented on their posts and received wonderful comments from them in return which means so much to me. The last three I have began following not too long ago. I urge everyone reading this blog to check out these wonderful bloggers. All of these blogger friends have inspired me to continually keep a dedicated "eye" on our natural world. Thanks to all of you!

I took a vacation day and decided to stay home and get some rest, as I had the flu last week, and yet I still haven't been able to shake it completely, so getting this award on this particular day, made my day. To be able to pass this award on to my friends, made it an even better day and so I sign off in my customary . . . Enjoy!

  1. Wow!!!! Thanks, Carol! What a surprise! Following your blog is a natural for me. I love Louisville and KY and your photos are terrific. I also love the Smokey Mountains, and you have such lovely photos from there as well. Again...thank you for thinking of me!! It's an honor!!

  2. ...p.s. Glad you are starting to feel better. It took me 14 days before I started to feel better after the flu, and then the next week I still had fatigue. Today is the first day I've felt back to normal.

  3. Many thanks Carol and congratulations on a very fine looking Blog and collection of images :)

  4. Carol, thank you so much for this lovely and thoughtful award! I'm sorry it took me so long to get over and see what was in store for me. I really enjoy your photography, and love the fact that I get to see photos from so many beautiful and scenic locations here. Thank you again for passing this along to me.
I hope you are feeling better now - sorry to hear you had the flu.
