Fall at the Lake, Cherokee Park

Unparalleled beauty comes to mind when I stood and photographed this scene. Every now and then you have an opportunity to make a quick stop during a busy day with only a few moments to spare.
Several weeks ago, with Fall color at peak, I made a quick detour as I passed the Lake at Cherokee Park near downtown Louisville. As I walked across the lawn to the lake I discovered this scene. Awestruck, I captured several images of the beautiful Fall color along the lake. After transferring the images to my computer that evening, I made my way through the images and stopped at this one. I tweaked the color just a bit and . . . Beauty. ENJOY!

  1. The dappled light, vivid colors, and reflections all make for a great composition Carol.
