Seasons Change!
Fall is coming. I can feel it in the air. I can see it in the trees. I can sense it as night approaches. In early August as I drove through the beautiful estate at Biltmore, I stopped to photograph this lovely lilypond which for the most part was virtually ignored by every tourist as it wasn't a convenient spot to stop. That's why I did.
"Therefore all seasons shall be sweet to thee, whether the summer clothe the general earth with greenness, or the redbreast sit and sing betwixt the tufts of snow on the bare branch of mossy apple tree." . . . Samuel Taylor Coleridge. ENJOY!

...such a peaceful scene. I love all the greens (which will soon be gone!). We can feel the change too. On Friday it was 100 degrees F here..and today, just a few days later, it's 63!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you stopped, the shot is nice. We are starting to see a few red leaves up here, but are having a muggy weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol. Still fairly green over here but there is a hint of changing colours with some of the trees AND the temperature has definitely fallen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your recent good wishes .. much appreciated. FAB.
What a mystical shot! I love all the different shades of green and the textures. Enjoy a bit of cool, Carol. I'm in the city, but the mts are supposed to be getting snow...
